NY Times Photographs

I just went through the 229 photos that they have up now. Of course every day they add new photos...

I wish I could say more than that, but if I think too much about it and try to figure out what to say...I am at a loss for words.

Update on Life

So I have been back in the States for 8 days now!

My University decided to suspend the study abroad program in Japan for the semester. They have been good about providing options for students who needed the credits to graduate, and created some courses for the group of us who were planning on being in Japan (14 of us)

However, since I don't need to the credits to graduate and actually love putting together my course schedule and spending hours picking out which classes and professors to sign up for, I decided to take the semester off.

Which means that I have too much time on my hands at the moment. I have many ideas for what to do with that time, and am in the process of settling things and contacting all the people that need to be contacted. *sigh*

I still plan on returning to Japan after I graduate University! I also have many many photos to still upload here, many places that I went to that I haven't written about yet ^_^

I hope that everything in Japan is resolved quickly and the death toll stops climbing. I want to help but I feel completely useless here.

PS- forgot to post this link on here. I was on the news! I am wearing the bright red jacket

Fuji-Q High Land

So back on Feb. 17 I went to Fuji-Q High Land Amusement Park which is very close to Mt. Fuji! (thereby giving it it's name)

Here is a dismal photo taken from the bus. You can barely see Mt.Fuji in the background!!!

Meet the guys! They came in handy when we walked through the haunted house ^_^

There are three main roller coasters that we went on. And all of them had these wonderful typical warning signs. But there was one part that I had never seen before! Lack of sleep....hmmmmmm The highlight of High Land was the haunted house. A terrifying walk that takes between 20-45 minutes (depending on how slow you go) through an abandoned hospital... While waiting in line you get to see people run screaming out of the exit...which is awful because I was already semi-freaking out.

But those times are when you remember all the games from your childhood. Like roshambo, or slapping games... my hands were bright red by the time we got to the front of the line

After you enter the building you have to wait to get your picture taken!!!! My face is very accurate for what followed ^_^ And sure enough we ended up running out of the building! Totally worth the long line and cost

Oh and this ride reminded me of Germany =D Oh we are just chilling with one of the Fuji-Q rangers!
