A Whole Lotta JUSCO

Yesterday (Sat. Oct. 18) I was lucky enough to be able to attend a JUSCO event! I got to participate in two tea ceremonies, flower arrangement, calligraphy, origami and then go out to dinner and make many friends!

I left the apartment a bit before 11am and didn't get back until 9pm (and then still had to study for a test I had today), the experience I got was well worth the cut from study time ^_^

There were 40 exchange students from various universities (though mostly from Sophia) and of course the JUSCO members.

Explanation of JUSCO:  "JUSCO is a student organization that consists of exchange students and Japanese students who belong to a student organization called the JNSA Fund. JNSA Fund is a student body that is made up of students from many universities in and near Tokyo"

The order of the photos:

Inroduction/Opening Ceremony

Flower Arrangement (I got to arrange some!!!! They said I have a good feel for it ^_^)

Tea Ceremony on Tatami

Origami (I made 2 shirts and a mini shirt and then a piano)

Tea Ceremony on chairs

and Calligraphy (which I discovered I suck at)

Afterwards we all went out to dinner <3
