On a day off from school I was able to do a typical touristy thing in Tokyo!
Armed with a camera, two friends, and some money for snack essentials I ventured to the famous Buddhist temple in Asakusa, Tokyo.
The first thing you see is the Kaminarimon ("Thunder Gate") with it's giant chochin (the big red lantern)[[posterous-content:pid___1]]After walking through the gate you arrive at a long strip of shops selling tourist goods from tiny cell phone charms to kimonos.
